Obviously things have been going so well that I have not had the time/urge to keep up with my blog, but I am now at a place where it's time to ramp things up again! The surgery has been good to me, and as long as I can continue from that momentum by being good to myself, all will be well. I have hit a plateu of sorts. I've lost more weight than they projected and kept it off as well, but I'm just not at the point where I would want to be. It's not to say that I have a lot to go, but I do have a bit.
I have been so fortunate as to have nothing but an endless array of support from family, friends, and a one-in-a-million boyfriend. With all of this being said, I have decided to try a new approach to help me lose the last bit I have been trying to rid myself of and also maintain that weight for the rest of my life.
I'm going to try the Dukan diet.
Dr. Dukan is a French doctor who created a 4 phase process of dieting. I toyed with the idea of weight watchers. The problem is, I'm not disciplined (nor do I have the time) to count points. There's no counting with Dukan. The first phase, aptly titled the "attack" phase, consists of nothing but high-protein foods and lasts only a week. I can handle a restricted diet for that amount of time. I am going to start on Monday because I am still waiting for my Dukan diet book from Amazon. I'll be sure to keep up with my updates, because I know that will keep me in check as well.
Wish me luck!
